Action Wellness is pleased to announce that our Executive Director, Mary Evelyn Torres, received the 2024 Red Ribbon Policy Maker Award at the 20th Annual Red Ribbon Ceremony. As the honoree in the Policy Maker category, Evelyn was celebrated for her impact on HIV policies at the local, state, and federal levels, which had been instrumental in supporting and enhancing the lives of individuals with HIV.
The Penn CFAR Red Ribbon Awards Ceremony, which marked its 20th year in 2024, celebrated community members who have made extraordinary contributions in the fight against HIV. This year’s theme, “The Magic of Faith, Resilience, and Legacy,” underscored the ongoing unity and dedication of advocates and leaders creating positive change in the field.
The event commemorated World AIDS Day and paid tribute to the legacy of those impacted by HIV. Through this recognition, the Penn CFAR Community Advisory Board aims to inspire continued advocacy and reinforce support for those with HIV.
